Depending on the nature of the project I will make suggestions to which you will be able to respond. We will adopt the best method for communicating during the process of design and product development.

Before starting a project, I ask my client to provide me with sufficient information in order to have a comprehensive brief about their project.

The Handbag Design Process takes the following rough order. This can cry somewhat depending on the project needs. 

• Creation of the comprehensive brief.

• Research, definition of trends, colour cards and presentation of mood boards.

• Research on models / shapes, materials and metal accessories.

• Study of the initial hand/digital sketch proposals for each style (for each of the bags and metallic accessories).

• Creation of a vector basic design in black and white.

• Colour CAD rendering using colours, texture and prints.

• Pattern making and creation of the porto sample / first prototype / first sample.

• Checking of the prototype.

• Creation of detailed technical specifications for the bag and for the personalised metal accessories.

• Descriptive fact sheet (materials, metals and their finish, proposal of variants in material/colour).

• Presentation of the product. 

All these steps can be carried out (on client request) by reviewing and updating carry-over models or best-sellers from previous collections. 

Sample making & Manufacturing:

Please note that I am well versed in pattern making and construction. In case you need samples, I can make the first prototype and supply a salpa or cotton sample with patterns. Please note that for projects that require me to make a prototype with superb leather craftsmanship using traditional saddle stitching are welcome and those details must be specified from the beginning of the project. 

Rate & Quotations:

My services are charged at an hourly rate for each project. Depending on the size of the project and according to requirements of the brief, the quotes can change.
